Auroch took Warhammer Survivors to r/Games

Lead designer John and programmer Jay answered community questions about the game ahead of launch. The AMA is the most recent official developer communication on the calendar.

Deep dive

Keyword system turns off-kit weapons into followers

Every champion and weapon carries keywords. When a champion picks up a weapon their keywords do not allow, an ally who can wield it joins the squad. Followers attack, cannot take damage and cannot collect items.

Demo

October demo enters Steam Next Fest

Auroch highlighted the new demo roster, balancing changes and a cross-universe meta-progression tweak. The October build remains a short, curated slice of the full game.

Warhammer Survivors launches on 10 November 2026 for £6.39 / $7.99 / €7.49, with a new demo adding the Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Revenya. The Gloomspite Gitz were also revealed as an enemy faction.

Deep dive

Tyranid Synapse and Ork Waaagh! traits detailed

Faction Traits add tabletop-inspired behaviour. Synapse can enrage lesser Tyranids; destroying the source stuns the brood. Orks can trigger a Waaagh! that increases spawn pressure and aggression.

Deep dive

Deep dive

Pick-ups vary by universe

Melta-Bombs and Blast Templates sit alongside AoS Endless Spells such as the Purple Sun of Shyish and Ravenak’s Gnashing Jaws. Pick-up behaviour is universe-specific.

Deep dive

Status effects can help or hurt champions

Burning speeds enemies up while Poisoned slows them down. Oiled increases fire damage, and Death Guard poison can affect the player. Some enemies are immune.

Developer update

The Hobby Table stage revealed

A paint-strewn tabletop becomes a battlefield where multiple enemy factions can share the arena. Paint pots, tools and a mug sell the hobby-desk fantasy.

Developer update

Death Guard and Blades of Khorne revealed

Nurgle’s durable legions and Khorne’s fast melee pressure joined the enemy roster, with poison fog, regenerating Beasts and telegraphed Bloodcrusher charges.

Deep dive

What counts as an update here

Official Steam posts, Auroch announcements, Warhammer Community articles, PlayStation.Blog and Xbox Wire. We do not log an entry from an unsourced social post or a data-mined guess. A release-day patch will be added only when the notes are public.
