Boltgun
The Boltgun is Brother Luca’s launch weapon and one of the few weapons with an officially confirmed evolved form. It trades the Chainsword’s crowd coverage for a focused rifle, then turns into the Heavy Bolter.

Confirmed behaviour
Brother Luca, a Space Marine Intercessor created for Warhammer Survivors, starts with a Boltgun. Auroch says the iconic gun is powerful enough to blast Tyranid Termagants apart. The official evolution is the Heavy Bolter, described as a stream of unrelenting firepower for tougher swarms and larger bioforms.
Luca is not part of the October demo roster, so there is no hands-on data for his launch feel. The planning read is straightforward: the base rifle handles early single targets and the evolved form adds sustained damage for elites and bosses.

Dice Cube and the Heavy Bolter
Auroch confirmed the Heavy Bolter result. The October community table names Dice Cube as the required passive. That companion is not officially confirmed for this line, and Dice Cube is also reported in the Age of Sigmar Boltstorm Pistol recipe, so the same passive may support more than one weapon.
The reported trigger follows the demo pattern: max the weapon, then open a boss chest. The exact level and drop rules are unknown. If the Heavy Bolter does not appear, check the passive first, then the chest condition.
Evidence level: Boltgun and Heavy Bolter are official. Dice Cube as the required passive is community-reported.
How to use it
A Boltgun wants a clean line. Keep the horde in front of the muzzle and let the rifle thin the front rank while you move. The moment the screen becomes a full surround, a single-target rifle is not the tool that saves you; your movement and a secondary area weapon are.
The Heavy Bolter’s sustained fire makes it a natural boss and elite weapon. Clear a pocket before the boss arrives, then hold the stream on the target while strafing around the arena. Do not stand still to keep the line; the stream should follow the boss, not the other way around.
- Add an area weapon before relying on the Boltgun alone.
- Keep a lateral movement pattern against ranged enemies.
- Save the evolved burst for elites and bosses, not scattered stragglers.
Build and users
