Rope and Grapnel

Weapon 路 Crowd control / displacement

Rope and Grapnel is a control tool first and a damage weapon second. Lyssa’s hooks arrive from the edges of the screen, restrain enemies, rescue survivors and often kill weaker targets outright.

Confirmed behaviour

Lyssa Revenya starts with Rope and Grapnel. Auroch describes hooks that fire in from random screen edges, hit points on the battlefield, damage enemies and drag survivors away. Weaker enemies are often killed instantly. The official evolution is Ghost of Rhea, a spirit that crosses the field and bursts into damaging fog.

That combination gives the weapon two jobs: reposition enemies and create emergency space. It is not a constant screen-clear in the way an axe is. The hook’s value depends on when and where it lands, which makes it a skill-expression weapon.

  • Universe: Age of Sigmar.
  • Confirmed wielder: Lyssa Revenya.
  • Confirmed behaviour: restraining hooks from screen edges, instant kills on weak enemies.
  • Confirmed evolution: Ghost of Rhea.
  • Reported companion: White Dwarf.

White Dwarf and Ghost of Rhea

Auroch confirmed the Ghost of Rhea evolution in the October release post. The October community table names White Dwarf as the required passive. The developer post does not confirm that pairing, so the result is official while the recipe remains a lead.

The reported trigger is a maxed weapon plus boss chest. If the ghost does not appear, check the hook weapon’s upgrade state, the passive and the chest type. Exact level requirements are still unpublished.

Evidence level: Ghost of Rhea is official. White Dwarf as the required companion is community-reported.

How to use it

Aim the hook at the enemy blocking the lane, not at the ally you are trying to save. Pulling the guard opens the rescue ring; pulling the survivor may not. Use the hook before you enter the pack, then move through the gap while the restraint is active.

The hook is also a defensive reset. When a Rat Ogor enters Warp Fury or a Bloodcrusher begins a charge, a well-timed hook can break the line of attack. Do not wait until you are already surrounded; the weapon buys space, and space is most valuable before the surround closes.

  • Open rescue lanes by hooking the guards.
  • Use the reset before a charge connects, not after.
  • Pair with a constant area weapon for damage.
  • Keep moving after the hook; control is temporary.

Build and users

Lyssa is the confirmed user. The Lyssa dossier explains the control pattern, and the Ghost Hook build adds the reported evolution target. The tier list places the weapon in A-tier because control transfers well even when the damage ceiling is unclear.

Pre-launch note. Values and evolution triggers can change before 10 November 2026. Community pairings are labelled and should be verified in the launch build. See the update log for newer information.

Editorial method

Official claims, press observations and community reports are kept separate. Where Auroch has not published a value, this guide says so instead of filling the gap.
